A focused start, with optional guidance in the real app

Infinite Stories has a lot of surface area. This release gives the first visit a focused shape without taking any of the complete toolset away.Simple is the starting experience when no valid choice is saved. Advanced remains one switch away, and two optional tours teach branching by using the real product.
Simple keeps the common path in view. Navigation, creation, reading and authoring show the controls needed for the next ordinary action. Existing expert configuration remains available in Advanced.
You can switch experience at any time. Use the Simple or Advanced utility control, or open User Settings. Signed-in choices follow the account; signed-out choices stay in that browser.
Explore an Infinite story with an optional reader guide. Signed-out visitors get a small, temporary-attention cue instead of an automatic modal. The same guide is available to signed-in readers from the welcome or Help. It opens a safe public story, follows a real ordinary choice and never spends credits.
Choose the signed-in start that fits. A verified account sees one welcome with Read, Create and Explore choices. The acknowledgement follows the account across browsers, while the selected guide remains optional.
Create a story with guidance from a verified account. The creator tour uses the application default model, shows every live cost before the action, and waits for your explicit click. It saves the first two chapters privately before asking whether to publish or keep the story private.
Guidance is still available after you decline or finish. The Help index and the directly related written articles can relaunch either tour. A partial run can continue or start over, and starting over never deletes its private draft.
Tour progress stays local to the browser. It stores actor-scoped milestones and the IDs needed for safe resume, not wizard text or generated prose. Only the signed-in welcome version syncs with the account so the welcome does not repeat on another browser.
Onboarding measurement is deliberately small. Self-hosted Plausible receives only bounded journey, milestone, device, outcome and failure categories at an ID-free synthetic location. It receives no user, story, chapter or choice IDs, no prompts and no story content.
Motion and input preferences are respected. The welcome, reader cue and coachmarks work from the keyboard, restore focus to Help launchers, adapt to mobile layouts and suppress guided motion when reduced motion is requested.
Generated chapters stream into your reading view. An Infinite chapter now arrives styled by your active theme, word by word if your theme animates text, and the choices appear as real choice buttons the moment they take shape. An editing view stays one click away for changes before you save.
The Designer tours show instead of tell. All seven were rebuilt so almost every other step has you click a real styling option and watch the page react: bold a title, undo it, grow a button, recolor a hover, stack theme changes and watch the difference list grow.
Every account has a readable name from the first minute. New accounts start with a friendly generated name such as Curious Lighthouse until you pick your own in User Settings. Existing unnamed accounts received one too.
Designer options show what they do. Border widths draw themselves on their buttons, padding, margin and gap options carry a small diagram of the space they control, and the colour slots walk you through picking a colour of your own the first time a tour points at them.
Creator names lead somewhere. The Created by name on story pages is now a link that finds more from that creator, in the story you are reading or everywhere, and the in-story search now scopes the story list correctly.
