Check-ups that would not load, and a first sweep by the persona fleet
September 2026
The first two rounds of the persona fleet, a set of reviewers that each read the app from one uncompromising point of view, found more than expected. The fixes that matter to a learner ship here; the rest is in the project notes.
Stuck check-up drafts load again. A free check-up opened before the 2026-09-01 pool update kept pointing at a form that no longer existed and came back as sixteen empty slots with a disabled Submit. Such a draft is now retired and a real form dealt. Opening a level or language that has no check-up says so instead of starting an empty one.
A double click on Submit no longer hides your result. Only one submit goes out; if the form was already graded in another tab, the page says so and points at your activity log.
The Grammar profile opens on your language. With no remembered choice it lists the languages you actually have a profile for; English is no longer the default. It is also called Grammar profile everywhere now.
Help beside every title. Twenty-eight pages link to their tutorial from the title itself. Two tutorials that had drifted from the app (the Learning button row, the Redeem buttons) are corrected.
The Learning page leads with one action and lost a button: Review due words moved into the Grammar profile, whose button on the Learning page now carries the red due count. The rest of the area sits in a lighter row below.
Weekly progress e-mail toggle restored on the Grammar profile, where it had been missing since the v0.17 overview.
Buttons have names. Icon-only controls in the story tables, the pagination and the rating thumbs now announce what they do to a screen reader, and a dropped connection shows a message instead of leaving a control stuck.
Seventeen check-up items corrected across English, French, Italian and Turkish pools, mostly wrong-answer options that were in fact acceptable sentences.
Wording: Commission a special (was Order), Not now (was Got it) on the review reminder, plainer premium and terms copy, and every rule state on the Grammar profile explained where it is shown.
