v0.12.0

Achievements, earned credits and a map of everything you've discovered

August 2026
The app now notices what you do - and gives something back for it. Everything in this release runs on your own data, shown back to you, with credits coming only from things the server itself observed.
  • Your discovery map. The new Achievements page shows which parts of the app you have used, organized into four tracks - Explorer, Reader, Author and Designer - with bronze, silver and gold tiers. Progress counts in your browser and syncs to your account.
  • Titles. Each tier earns a title, and you can pick one to show next to your name on stories and in tables. None is the default - badges stay rare on purpose.
  • Earned credits. 50 one-time achievements and 5 daily quests grant credit unlocks for things the server saw you do: writing chapters, publishing, voting, commenting, saving themes and more. Unlocks never expire; redeem them into your monthly free pool whenever you like.
  • Discovery hints. At most one quiet hint per session points at a feature you haven't tried - dismiss it once and it never returns. Guided tours now recommend what fits your progress first.
  • Progress from before you signed up. If you explored the app before creating your account, the achievements page asks whether to add that progress to your map - it never merges silently.
  • Faster pages. The main page loads a fraction of the script files it used to (108 down to 24), which phones and slow connections feel immediately.
  • Admin activity view. A new aggregate view shows how features are actually used, with seed content excluded.
