Specials: an infinite branching story, drawn as a comic

August 2026
The thing we can do that a fixed comic cannot: keep going wherever the story branches. Specials turn a story into a comic you read page by page, and at every choice the drawn path forks with it.
  • A comic that branches. Open a Special and read a story as drawn pages. When a chapter ends you get its real choices, and the ones already drawn as comic carry a mark so you can see where the art continues. The reader tells you plainly that you are on one path through a much larger branching story, because that is the whole point.
  • Full-screen, fits your screen. Pages size to the viewport with no sideways scroll, on desktop and on a phone. Click a page to open it full-screen with on-image paging and your keyboard arrows, and the onward choices come with you so you never leave to keep reading.
  • Meet the cast and the places. Every Special has a roster page: the characters and locations, each with the reference sheet that keeps them looking like themselves from panel to panel. Entries start collapsed to just the art, and Show details opens the full description.
  • A look behind each page. Curious how a page came together? Behind the scenes lists the beats each page was built from and the references it used, plus the honest challenges of making it (keeping colours steady, getting readable text into art). Read the comic, or read about it. Your call.
  • Choice images. A second kind of Special draws a picture for every choice on the page, so you pick your next step by the image as much as the words. The cards sit above each choice and respect your image-off setting.
  • What it cost to make, in the open. Each Special shows its real production cost up front, kept compact with the full breakdown one click away. Specials are a premium read, and the story they are made from stays free to read as text.
  • Find them easily. Specials have their own area with a kind filter, and each one has a start page that works for everyone, so you can see what a Special is before you unlock it.
