Course quality you can choose, music while you read, stories that start keeping a ledger

• Quality profiles per course. Standard and Full quality decide which model builds each part of a course: the reading and its word hints, the exercises, the grammar layer. The wizard shows what each profile buys, in numbers, and the receipt prints the model per part. Story-aware word hints are always built on the strongest model: the measurement showed the lighter model finds 1 in 11 of them. Existing courses keep their model.
• Background music. A house library of instrumental loops plays while you read, once you turn it on in Settings and tap the page once. A theme can carry its own track, a story owner can pick one for the story, and your own choice for a story wins over both. Nothing loads and nothing plays until you enable it.
• Sound library. Every loop and effect the app can play has its own page with a description, what it fits and a preview at your volume; search covers names, moods and fits, and the effects stay folded until you look for them. All 230 sounds are CC0 from eight sources, loudness-matched so nothing jumps out. In a story, the sound button lets you pick the loop for that story, and the credits button names what is playing.
• Scored reading. A new kind of special: the chapter arrives one beat at a time, and each press of Continue plays the sound cue placed at that sentence, a door, a thunder roll, a change of music. Cues are placed by the model, then checked and approved by hand before anything is published; a reader only ever sees the beats already revealed. Effects now sit under the music rather than fighting it, and a cue can repeat itself for a sustained sound such as a crowd murmuring in the background. A reading now shows a chapter counter with Previous and Next chapter controls, and reopening a chapter you already finished starts it over from the first beat instead of showing it fully revealed.
• Picture book. A new kind of special for children of four to eight and the adult reading to them: a chapter becomes five to twenty wide pages, each one bright illustration and one short line to read aloud. The reader goes fullscreen, a page turns with a swipe, an arrow key or a tap on the last page, and it now carries you straight into the next chapter instead of stopping at the edge. Every page carries a Things to find list, shown beside the picture outside fullscreen, so the picture stays interesting after the line is read. Fullscreen keeps everything to one control row, and both the read-aloud line and its backing panel can be restyled like any other element. Pages are planned by the model, drawn from a style anchor and reference sheets so the cast stays the same book-wide, and every page is checked by hand before the book is published. Orders are priced per page.
• Same face, page to page. Every image path that draws a character or a place, comics in all three versions, choice images, picture books and the house roster, now writes down what it is drawing: an age, a build, a hair colour and style, a skin tone, eye colour and every garment's colour, in words, not just a picture. Renders are told these values are fixed and the reference sheet outranks anything else in the prompt, which is what closes the drift a reader could see between one page and the next.
• Print-ready export. Comics and picture books can now be turned into files a print shop will take: an interior PDF, a wraparound cover, a combined reading copy and, if wanted, a numbered image set. Trim size, binding, a colour profile, bleed and a preflight check are all part of the build, and the resolution readout says plainly when a page is short of true print quality rather than pretending otherwise. No page is white: the pages around the story art sit on a gradient drawn from the book's own colours, and the behind-the-scenes section tells how each character was described, with the real prompts, so you can try them yourself. A Comic or Picture book order can ask for a print without the Infinite Story credit lines for a flat 15 EUR.
• A real print sample. The picture-book order form and a published picture book's own page now show a real print export you can download and open, with the exact settings it was built with listed beside it: trim, binding, colour profile, text layer, branding and fit to art. Proof the order form's options change what actually gets printed.
• Three comic versions. Ordering a Comic now picks a version: Short is today's one or two pages per chapter, Full expands a chapter into about thirty pages with the reactions and quiet moments the prose only implies, and Screen carries the same amount of art across about fifty-five narrower pages sized for a phone or tablet. Each version links to a published example and what it cost in credits, and ordering asks you to confirm you have looked at it first. The order form now picks its story from your bookmarks, your own stories or a title search instead of a short dropdown, shows no price until a story is picked, picks reference sheets as none, one per character and scene, or as many as needed, and picks what you get back: numbered images, a PDF, a CBZ archive, an MP3 or an M4B audiobook, wherever the kind has a choice. A comic's reader now carries a page jump list within a chapter and a version badge, shown on the special's own page and in the browse table.
• House roster. The story wizard's character and scene pickers now offer a curated house roster (twelve characters and six scenes per collection), searchable by archetype, with the full sheet readable on the builder page. The first house courses built from the public seed stories are live in Learning.
• Continuity ledger. As a long story grows, its summaries now record the promises it makes and how relationships shift, per branch, so a later chapter can pay them off instead of forgetting them. The extraction runs today; feeding it back into generation was measured and held back, because the injected version recalled fewer planted details, not more.
• Character timeline per branch. The timeline defaults to the branch you were reading and can be opened anchored to the chapter on the page. A branch picker lists every path of the story.
• Small fixes. Creating a character, a scene or a story asks before discarding what you typed, the admin users list shows when each account registered with the newest on top, New stories default to 500-word chapters, the Designer's prerequisite hint names the right setting, comic choices bob one after another, the order form says up front what image moderation refuses, a children's reading level now caps the stakes the generator may reach for, and a specials creator can attach content notes and a reader advisory.
• Faster and quieter. Every memoised screen element now keeps stable props (a Designer option click renders in a third of the time), and the backend's background loops wait on Redis instead of polling, so an idle server sits under half a percent of a core.
